Default Ink isn't soaking into uninked jumbo cartridge

I want to use white ink on vellum, so I ordered white ink and an uninked jumbo cartridge. The ink is not soaking into the cell. The bottle says it's pigment ink - did I get the wrong kind of ink?

I know on the pad I have that I had to "work" it in by rubbing the tip of the re-inker into the pad. Could this be the same for the cartridge?

I've used an uninked cartridge before, for regular ink - Cranberry Crisp. It soaked it right in, no problem. I think this white pigment ink is a thicker ink, maybe? I did it last night, and the ink is still sitting on top of the cartridge.

Looks like I'm changing up my Christmas cards for this year...

This is why Stampin' Up makes a specific white ink cartridge and refill for the cartridge - the regular (craft) pigment ink doesn't soak into the uninked cartridges at all. :( I have no advice, sorry. Hopefully someone else will be able to help.

I think you're right Lisa, I think I ordered the wrong one. I was CASEing an idea somewhat, and the instructions said the person used white craft ink so that's what I ordered.

I'm going to shelf this card design until next year so that I can make them correctly. I'm now whipping together a much simpler card so that I can get them out on time.
