Tapestry technique
I saw a few samples of cards with this technique & they are really pretty,
vibrant, bright. So of course my question is what is the procedure for this technique? Easy? Difficult? :? Thanks in advance for any replies. |

Jeanne Marie,
Thanks for the quick reply and the link. I was going to ask if the tapestry technique could be accomplished with chalk ink pads or classic pads, but they wouldn't stay wet long enough to emboss, right? |
you can emboss with your classic pad - stamp it in versamark first then in your classic pad, then on your CS, then add your EP
I've also embossed using the chalks, they do seem to stay wet enough - at least they were for me HTH |

Very good to know. Thanks alot! But doesn't the Versamark gunk up the
classic pad? I'm gonna guess the answer is it doesn't create a problem or you wouldn't be doing it. Do you also hit the Veramark pad before you use the chalk pad? So MUCH to learn! Thanks again! :D |
I did
I did this techique and used my chalk inks with a white craft pad. There are a couple examples in my gallery if you'd like to check them out.

Jody, I checked your gallery. What beautiful cards! Thanks! :D
Lisa S, I appreciate your replies. Thanks! I'm definitely gonna try the tapestry technique with my chalks, classics & Versamark. :D I love you guys! Mary |
When I've done this technique, I've used the classic pads first then used my Versamark pad over the classic. After that I stamp my image in Craft White and emboss the entire page with clear embossing powder.
