Sweet condensed milk technique
 

I've seen this technique done once....... and surfing didnt find any results.

Has anyone tried this technique....... and willing to explain it.
Think all you do is brush the milk on your stamp and heat......but
want to make sure before I do it.
Could clear embossing powder be use too? or would it not change colors?
You say why dont you play??? its cold outside and I dont have the milk, and I like learning from others mistakes.

Hi!

It's super easy. You can either just brush the SCM onto your cardstock using a paint brush or foam handled brush and then heat with embossing tool until it caramelizes. While it's still warm you can brush Pearl Ex over the top.

THe other way is to apply the SCM onto your rubberstamp..but be sure to clean right away since this gets your stamp goopy and sticky. You then would just stamp onto CS and then heat until it caramelizes.

My card class had fun doing it, and it does not use up a lot of SCM either so you'd have some left over to make a dessert!

I did this technique at a stamp camp once and, this is just weird on my part, this *grossed* me out! I could barely bring myself to slap that thick gooey stuff on the stamp, and then I had to *cook* it?

Once my gaggin stopped, I realized the results were wonderful, but it's not something I can bring myself to do again. :lol:
