Sunburst Technique?
 

Does anyone know how to do this technique? Could you tell me?

The Starburst Technique (which I think is what you are referring to) is a recent technique in the April Technique Junkie Newsletter, you can find out more about subscribing here www.patstamps.com . The newsletter is full of techniques, and the subscription also gives you access to step by step online tutorials - which you won't find if someone gives you directions. The newsletter is worth the money for what you will be getting. If you do a search here on the forums, you will find plenty of people who are extremely happy with the newsletter that Pat Huntoon provides.

Just an FYI so I don't get flamed here regarding NOT giving out the directions - this is a paid subscription newsletter. Think of it as something similar to the paid for DD Gallery - the templates that are provided from the DD are for DD members only not FREE to just anyone. Pat's NL is the same way, in order for her to keep her site (which by the way was just updated with 100's+ of new samples) people need to subscribe to the newsletter. As Pat states, the techniques are NOT owned by her, but her words are....

Well..I certainly don't want you to give me the directions verbatim from her newsletter. But if she didn't invent the technique and someone knows how to do it I don't think there is any harm in sharing the directions. I'll check out the newsletter though. Thanks.

The technique is also called bouncing brayer. I will write a tutorial for it some time in the near future....there are just too many techniques and projects to write tutorials for. LOL

Just an FYI -- the bouncing brayer and the starburst techniques are NOT the same techniques...

The bouncing brayer was originally in "Our STamping Studio" and has a very jagged look -- the Starburst technique has a smooth finish to it.

personally I like to use a compressed makeup wedge in lieu of the brayer. More control.
Take a compressed makeup wedge and put drops of ink directly on the wedge. You can use it a few times before having to reink. Steady hand and glossy cardstock are key. I will look to see if I have a sample in my gallery.

Pats newsletter if awesome. I started with the trial sub and ended up continuing with a full subscription. I so look forward to the tutorials that I receive hard copy. I would highly recommend her newsletter to any card/scrapbook junkie out there. Trust me when I say 'YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED
