Default Question about the mailboxes from Target

For those of you that have altered these how do you get the paper around the entire mailbox(instead of just up the flag)? I hope this makes sense. I altered one(but I wasn't sure how to get it all the way around with the flag in the way).

Thanks!

Using a scrap piece of paper, I made a template. I measured where to cut the paper to fit around the flag. I am a visual person, so it may be difficult for me to explain. I'll try to submit a photo later when I have more time.

I ended up cutting an opening (or notch) about 3/4" (deep) x 1/2" (tall) where the flag is attached on the side. The paper that I cut away could be attached to the other side of the flag, but I haven't tried that yet.

I hope this helps. I hope to post some of my samples online later this afternoon or tomorrow. I'm having so much fun with these mailboxes.

Wink mailboxes

Being new here, once in awhile I try ro see what everything is all about. I did find a thread with a mailbox pattern. If I can find it again, I will post it.
