I saw something similar at Patstamps?? I first saw it in a stamp store in Kansas City, they had the most beautiful cards I have ever saw. It was a first come basis, and I missed the class but, I did see something similar to it on Patstamps. The whole card is covered in glitter and soooo detailed. They were doing Santa's and Jack-O'lanterns, I just could believe it was a card, I would hang it on my wall, LOL!! It's the same concept as the technique this week except they stamped an image on acetate and put different glitter over the entire card. Santa's eye's were blue, they or course made his suit red, and don't get me started on the Jack O'lanterns - WOW!! I may have to make another trip there just to see how they do them.

Cindy,

We have a technique tutorial Dazzling Diamond Dust in the resource section. Check it out and tell us if that's what you are looking for. Or if the technique you are looking for is different.

Yes, I think that must be how they did it. It's close enough anyway. The only difference was their whole card was covered in glitter and for some reason it was on acetate, then they attached the acetate to cardstock. This would elimanate that step. Can't wait to try it!!! We'll see how it turns out.
Thanks a Bunch,
Cindy

I have seen people use a clear drying glue (no names come to mind at the time) with art glitter (very fine glitter). You stamp your image using a permanent black ink & when it is dry, work in stages and spread the glue over where you want yellow glitter, let that dry, then work on the other sections. I have seen some beautiful flower ones.............. HTH

I've done this on acetate with "The ART Glittering System" from "The ART Institute" in Cottonwood, AZ. I bought the set of ultra fine glitters and the clear drying glue as a boxed set at a stamping and scrapbooking store in MI while visiting family there. Try this link http://www.artglitter.com/

I think you might be looking for what I call Glitter Painting. Art Institute Glitter is the originator, I think. Here's a link with a pretty good example and instructions: http://www.coxes.com/stamping/sample...n/aigstain.htm

And here's an Oriental Fan ATC I posted recently where I used this technique: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

JanTink invented a Cheater's Glitter Painting technique that works great too. Here's the link to her example and instructions: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Hope that helps!
