I was curious after trying my new Prismacolor pencils as to what ink to stamp the image with. Will classic SU pads be sufficient? I used Black Stazon but hate the cleanup afterwards. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I've only used the SU Classic Black on Whisper White as well, with no problems. I usually start to color my image in, right away, but I will wait until I'm positive it's had time to dry before I hit it with the gamsol.
If I'm using gamsol, I'll stamp the image in Ancient Page (usually flannel grey, but sometimes coal black). If I don't let the stump get too wet, classic SU! works okay too. If I'm just going to use the colourless blender pencil, then any ink will do. I own Stazon, but I don't think I've ever used it.
Have fun experimenting,

Thanks, everyone for replying to my question. Stazon did work. I'll have to search out the cleaner. Darn! I was just at Michael's using my 50% off coupon. If I only knew! Thank you, again.
I also don't have trouble using Basic Black on Whisper White (or V. Vanilla) - which is what I use most of the time w/ my Prisma's anyway. You just need to make sure the ink is DRY before you start blending - I always let it sit for a couple of minutes (and really when you're outlining w/ the pencils first it gives it ample time to dry) HTH!
I use the brown from SU on white or vanilla cardstock & haven't had any problem after it has dried...few minutes. I use the brown because the image isn't as harsh as the black.
I have just started this technique, so am by no means an expert -- but I was told that if you use regular dye ink you can still use the gamsol technique if you spray your stamped image with a fixative (Krylon) -- I have tried it and it seems to work well. I would rather do that than use Stazon because I am really trying hard to keep my stmaps looking clean. How naive, huh? Shows that I am still pretty new (LOL)

I bought the Ultra Clean stamp cleaner from Inky Antics due to a recommendation I received on SCS. I couldn't be happier. It completely removes Stazon and stays wet on your scrubber so you are not constantly spritzing like I normally due with the SU stamp cleaner. Here's a link:
All I've ever used is Basic Black or Basic Brown...no trouble with bleeding at all!

I just use the Classic Basic Black on whatever cs I am using. I don't have alot of SU! cs...so I just use the stuff from Michaels or Archivers and it comes out just peachy! I do, however, hit the image with a blast of heat from the heat gun before starting in the with gamsol.
