Stazon on Glass

Hi there,
can anyone give me any tips for stamping on small glass bottles.
I stamped on some jars last week and I can still wipe of the ink.
Should I be prepping the jars before I stamp?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks

I don't know if you can heat set the Stazon or not....I'm just not sure....but I don't see why it wouldn't work!

I have made glass ornaments by stamping and embossing them. Try that.....

You might try cleaning the glass before hand with alcohol or something to remove any skin oils or any other residue on the glass before stamping. Have not had problems with Stazon not drying before, but also hit it with the heat gun to possibly speed the drying time.
Good luck!

StazOn will come off with water, so even if you heat set it, it will rub off. I paint over anything I do on glass or china with Pebeo Porcelaine Paints. They have a clear one that you could coat over the StazOn when you are done.

I too have had problems with staz-on rubbing off. Where can you buy the Pebeo Porcelain Paints?

Thanks for the drying idea! I've never had trouble before with an acrylic spray when I'm done stamping with stazon. But i do think it needs a treatment of some sort if it's going to get wet.

I just bought the porcelaine 150 markers at Michaels. They also have paint. I'm going to use it to color my tile coasters as well. The 150 paints are translucent so I think you'll still be able to see the stamped image.

You can use versamark then emboss. If you don't like the image with the powder (smeared, etc), remove before heating. Be careful as the glass gets very hot when you heat it. But it stays put!!
