Stamping on window sheets

I've been trying to stamp on my window sheets with StazOn and the ink keeps smearing. I did a search in the database here for how others do this and people seem to be stamping on window sheets with StazOn with no problem. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks mucho,
Stephanie

I'm not sure.
Maybe you are pressing down to hard on your stamp?

One thing I found out....
You can remove StazOn with alcohol if you do it right away.
Helps keep you from trashing perfectly good acetate.

It is tricky to keep the ink from smearing. Two points are to make sure your acetate doesn't slide. I usually tape mine down to a piece of paper. The second thing is to have a steady hand and apply firmly, but not too much or the stamp will smoosh(is that a word? :) ) down and make the image fuzzy. Also, make sure ther isn't too much ink on your stamp or it will also smear.
HTH. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

i find that standing up really makes a difference when i stamp with stazon, and ditto to the other tips stated already!

Thanks for the tips; I'll give them a try!

Try using a stamp positioner and a light touch when stamping on acetate. That should help keep the image from smearing.

I always use my Stamp-a-majig when using window sheets. If you do not have one Nan gave a great idea:
