Default Help with covering lid on pull top can

I have 5 pull top cans that I would like to decorate and give away filled with goodies, however the tops have writing on them ... instructions on how to open the can ... and I don't know how to cover it up. I've tried paper circles, but can't figure out how to get it around the actual pull tab. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

Here's a picture for reference:

Do you have a Krylon leafing pen in gold or silver. Or you could spray paint the cans before you cover the sides with paper.
