Default ? Regarding waxpaper resist...

I just tried this technique but it didnt turn out the way I hoped it would. I may not have used the right inks--used VersaMagic--the pattern was very suttle. (I have mostly pigment inks...)Obviously, the VersaMagic is to light. How high should the iron be? I ironed for 15-20 seconds on med.high...you CAN see a pattern on the glossy cs but when I brayer the color on, it's very suttle... Also, when I wipe the ink off with a paper towel, most of it came right off. It really lightened up then...I love the look but I guess I best shop for some dye inks.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

when I did this, I left the ink sit for a while so that it would not all wipe off..I had better results with it then after it sat, usually over night I would then wipe it off. I brayered over it two or three times.

I used classic ink on mine and it came out nice and dark. That must be the difference. Check out the right side of this card.

Dye based inks work the best for this technique. The pigment inks you should let set, as mentioned above.

Definitely dye ink works better. The first time mine didn't work either. Glossy carstock worked best for me! Keep trying!

Thank you, ladies, for all your help. Gonna run out and buy some dye inks...I thought I had some in my stash but they are all pigment, stazon and such.
I just love that look...
