Stamping on Photo Paper
Hello Splitcoaststampers!
Awhile ago I heard about a technique for stamping images on photo paper. I have been saving scraps of my photo paper but have not yet tried the technique. I have had a hard time finding any threads (using search) on the subject and was hoping to get some advice! TFS!:-D |
stamaping on photo paper
I use photo paper to create the polished stone effect.....I think it also would work for the fossil technique......DEpending--photo paper is sometimes less expensive than glossy card stock---I watch for sales at Staples and buy when it is buy one get one free.:)

I have stamped on photo paper, however, have found that it needs to be heat set. I like to use the embossing techiqui for that and it turns out really nice.

I like to stamp the image with Staz On. Sometimes the paper is so slick that you do not get a clean image. Practice first with scraps. Embossing or heating is great to set the image. Have fun!

Here's a question that relates to his topic: do you use pigment or dye inks on glossy photo paper - or is Stazon the only ink that works?
I brayered pigment ink to make a rainbow - but the ink never dried and is smudgy. Any guidance? |
glossy paper
Thanks! I did end up using kaleidoscope embossing powder over the pigment ink and then used a the heat gun to set it. It made a pretty rainbow:-D
For MKJUlia - you can also use your glossy paper scraps with alcohol inks. They turn out real nice.:) |
You could always try Brillance ink by Tsukineko.

I love using Brilliance ink pads and "photo" stamps with photo paper. It looks like real photos when I am done...and you don't need to heat set the ink!

thanks to all!
