Default Grunge Paper Calla Lily

I am so excited...someone (sorry I can't remember who or where it was) asked about making calla lilies earlier this week. I like messing with paper flowers and then I post them on my blog when I come upon something that works and is easy to replicate.

Well, she got me thinking that I haven't posted any flowers in a while so I decided to give 'em a try!

Here is what I came up with... Grunge Paper Calla Lily.

I tried all sorts of other paper (copy paper, cardstock, specialty papers, etc.) and I just couldn't get that nice roll along the edges until I tried Grunge Paper (grunge board works but it's almost too thick). The Grunge Paper worked like a charm AND held it's shape perfectly. I love it when something works like it's supposed to!

Just a question, but is it possible to split the grunge board? Can the layers come apart? Wondering if the board is usable like this until the paper is more widely available.

It's possible in small areas. I split a small Sizzix Folk Heart in two but you have to be very careful ~ the Grunge Board isn't made in layers so it gets very thin in some areas and thicker in others.

You could try the Grunge Board and just shave off a bit of the GB where you need it to curl.

Grungepaper is a thinner version of Tim Holtz's Grungeboard.

I don't really know what it's made of but it can be used like you would use chipboard but has amazing properties which allow it to be heated, soaked with all sorts of mediums and remain flexible. Way cool stuff to work with.
