A lot of the time, SU Classic Ink does not pick up well on clear stamps. Ink up your image with SU Craft Ink first in the same color that you wish to use and then ink on top of image with SU Classic Ink. Works like a charm and your image is fully covered with rich color. The Craft Ink seals the Classic Ink to the clear image.
I just figured this out this morning while doing my Featured Stamper Challenge card. I started out with the Craft Ink hoping I'd get better coverage and it was so light and surprised me. I then put Classic Ink over the Craft Ink and the Craft Ink seems to "seal" or help "adhere" the Classic Ink to the image. Once my image was stamped, I was surprised at how vibrant it turned out and I used Rich Razzleberry.
Check out the finished project using keyword FS252 or join us for the Featured Stamper Challenge that will be posted this evening at 10 p.m. EST!
I hope this helps anybody who's been having a problem with clear stamps and SU ink coverage.
The only problem with this tip is that you have to have both pigment AND dye ink for it to work - maybe versamark would work??????????????????????????????
