Stamping on candle
Have you ever tried to stamp on candle? A few days ago I found this tutorial
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...ng_on_candles/ and I tried it! Here some ideas and images from google to take inspiration and here the fantastic splitcoastampers gallery! If you want to share your advise or your tutorial about stamping on candles, you can leave a comment to this post!!! Here is my first experiment :-D http://crearenelwebdigiulia.wordpres...bri-e-candele/ I would to know if I have to brush something on candle to preserve the stamped image. |
What a cute candle - you are done. No need to put anything on it

Very cute candle! The doggie image is so cute. I recently tried my first candle project and was pleased with the results. I didn't use anything to "seal it." It was fun, wouldn't you say? I am definately going to try this with my stamping group.

But ... can I light it or I lose the stamped image?
|
We did these at a stamp camp one year. Big Hit, my friends 13 yr boy came with and he made a fishy friends one for his science teacher, and it was very cute, I think because it was his idea, his creation, neat seeing a kid do it. My son who was probably 8, put his name on it and a bunch of dollar signs, cracked me up!

I have never worried about burning them - yes, you lose the image eventually. Candles of any kind should NEVER be left unattended.
|
What I do for any candle that I don't want to 'burn' is to take a tea light, turn it upside down on the top of the candle and make a mark of the circle. Then I take a knife and cut around the circle. Then with a spoon I 'carve' out a hole that will fit the tea light. This way, it looks like the candle is burning and all you have to do is replace the tea light :)

I love the doggie. Thanks for sharing.
