Default How do I make a homemade button?

I saw this homemade button on this card and thought "why did i never think to do this?" Regular buttons are so bulky. Is this just punching out several layers and gluing them on your card? Love it!!

Default I tried this..

and became vey impatient waiting for the gloss to dry, so I used embossing powder, I put 3 coats on with very good results, of course heating in between coats Lots of fun! Oh, btw, I punched my holes ofter I embossed.

I wish I could remember who took the German text and translated it to English. Whoever you are, thank you! I'll have to look when I get home tonight.
Anyway...I tried this and absolutely amazed my customers. We even did some for Club last month. They are addicting and the possibilities are endless! Use the SU heart punch, bo-ho flower punch or star punch in addition to cirlcle punches. You can use either solid cs for top layer or DSP. If you do these and use Crystal Effects, you might want to do it at night before bed so you're not tempted to stick a finger in it to see if it's dry. LOL

Sorry..... I'll try to give you a short version of directions....I got excited!
I punched 5 of whichever shape you are using, and 1 of your top layer (dsp). Glue these layers on top of each other (I used 2-way glue). Let dry for a few minutes, the sand all edges with sanding block or emery board. This takes away the look of layers and makes it look like a solid piece. Use Crystal Effects to coat top (the thicker the layer, the more it looks like a button, but the longer to dry). You may either use crop-a-dile to punch holes before or after the Crystal Effects. If before, be careful to avoid the holes.

Lynn, It was you who translated the directions! Thank you so much! They are so much fun to make. One of those "brainless" activities you can do when taking a break from hustle and bustle. You're awesome!
