huffing on stamps

It is Monday and I've got my Monday Dunce Hat on - Can someone tell me what the technique is called when you color your stamps with a marker and then "huff" on the stamp before stamping on glossy cardstock? Thank you ahead of time for any and all help. Love, Audrey

I don't know that it's really a technique. I always huff on markered stamps, as well as larger background images just to make sure that the ink is still moist by the time I stamp it.

You "huff" on a stamp by bringing it up to your mouth and breathing heavily on to the inked surface of the stamp. The moisture in your breath re-moistens the ink on the stamp so the image will be more vivid when you stamp it. Hope I explained it okay.

Just be careful not to "huff" on the stamp too close to your face... or you may end up inking your lip... or your nose... etc. Not that I speak from experience or anything... ;-)

Are you asking what huffing means? I didn't know until I saw a demo --- coloring on a stamp with markers, then breathing heavily on it (huff) to make the stamp/markers moist and brighter colors on paper.
