Stamp Board
I have some stamp board in my stash but I have no idea what to use it for. Can anyone advise any good ideas for making the most of the bag I purchased!

I've only played with it once at a convention....I won't mention that I have some but haven't done more with it yet. Stampscapes is the one that really does an amazing job with it here is the link to their site with lessons and such on the left hand side.

Kayz....I've used it with Alcohol Inks. You can also etch into it with carving tools after applying the Alcohol Inks.
In case you're interested, you can punch holes in it with a Crop-a-Dile if you want to make a book out of it after decorating. It's best to use Stazon ink if you are going to stamp on it. Obviously, you would use the white side for any decorative work. Not the brown side. Patti |
I really like the way you can stamp on it, colour it and then scratch out white highlights to give a bit more depth to the image. If you don't like what you have done you can sand the image off and start again.

Stampboard is a wonderful medium to use! You can use direct to paper on it. Any kind of ink will work. I like to use the Mica Magic and dye inks to create a marble effect, then I stamp with back over that. I'll try to upload a picture of some of the peices I have done later this week. (It's no upload Sunday right now). I have used some small pieces as accents on cards. Thanks for reminding me of how much fun this stuff is to work on. Do check out the Stampscapes site. Wonderful stuff there!
