Stacking boxes pattern

I'd like to make some homemade goodies for my son's teacher's for Christmas and I think it would be neat if I could make stacking boxes for them and then tie a nice ribbon around them. (Like at Sam's when they have all the pretty boxes filled chocolates piled on top of each other decorated with a ribbon).
I was wondering if anyone has ever made them and had instructions/pattern for them.

Check the resources forum--I have seen patterns for boxes that make a snowman like you are describing....
