Default GRR!!UGH!!! Cracked glass meltdown!

I'm trying my hand at doing the cracked glass technique. I was doing ok....I only have clear embossing power, so I embossed it three-four times, put it in the freezer, and then "cracked" it. It wasn't as hard as I expected, but I figure I just need more layers. The problem happened when I tried to ink over it to make the cracks more pronounced. Now the beautiful white cracked paper has ink all over it that won't rub off...whahhhh! I used my regular black ink pad. Any suggestions from anyone here would be so appreciated!

I would suggest not to use black ink! Yikes. Most of black inks are waterproof. They might stick too much to your embossing powder. I usually use brown ink to sponge over the cracks.
