Spiral notepad covers

Don't know that this classifies as a technique, but I'm wondering, when you make the little spiral notepad covers, and you punch out the tiny holes, how do you get your new cover through/in/on the wire spiral? Do you rethread the wire? How difficult is this?

I'm certain this is easier than I am making it...TIA for your help.

first wrap a rubber band around the paper & the back of the pad. this helps keep everything aligned. I did have to use my wire twisters to get the wire straighten out at first to get it going but then it wasn't hard at all. may require a little patience though. :

so let me make sure I understand... :)

So, you are just reusing the already twisted wire. You rubber band everything, take off the wire, add the new cover to the stack you have already rubber-banded (is that a word!?), and then you rethread the wire, having straightened the beginning out a bit to get it going?

Sound right? I'm gonna give it a try today, maybe along with some crayon resist! Thanks!

Notebook cover

I just tried this on a used notebook and it was very easy! I did have a slight problem with the stack of paper shifting a bit, but found that the handles of the Stampin' Pastels fit perfectly in the holes the wire goes through. I just used two applicators to hold everything aligned while rethreading the wire. That simple!

TIA!
