Soap SOS

Hey guys!
I tried my first attempt at soap stamping, and it flopped big time. I had read the threads on doing it and tried the simplest. Okay, I should have known it was too simple to be true. I stamped on tissue paper, embossed, tore image out as close as I could, took a paint brush and wet soap, stuck image to soap, and let dry. Girls, it looked beautiful UNTIL I used it. Image washed off immediately.
Have any of you tried a technique that worked for you for soap that you can use? Or is it just for decoration. It is pretty, but I would like for it to be of use too. Thanks!Denise

After applying the tissue to your bar of soap... dip the top of the bar into melted parafin.. this forms a protective shield for your beautiful image... and your bar of soap can then be used down to the last bubble :)

Hope this helps.

The instructions I have is to "paint" the tissue paper stamped image onto the soap with a couple layers of Mod Podge. Maybe that will keep the image on when actually using the soap!
