Smooshing - how do we do this one?

This was actually the topic of a Cin-cerly recently (an article in the back of the Rubber Stamper Magazine)

It basically means that you put your ink pad directly onto the paper and push down, "smooshing" the ink onto the paper.

It works as a great background if you use random colors across the page and it is also a nice frame for an image.

It's fun--- I use it a lot, especially with the Stampin Spots since they make such great little tile shaped squares.

How 'bout that! I've smooshed & didn't even know I was smooshing!
I made a REALLY cute Christmas card smooshing. On SU ultrasmooth
white I put a layer of bliss blue cs, then a layer of ultrasmooth white
again. On this I covered the whole layer with my bliss blue stampin'
spot (4 across X 5 down) so it looked like tiles, but also kinda like an
icy, frosty window. In the middle of that sheet another layer of bliss
blue 2"x2", another layer of the white 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" stamped first
w/ Little Layers swirl background in the blue, then the snowflake stamped
in brocade blue & sprinkled w/ dazzling diamonds glitter. Oh, so cute
if I do say so myself! And it was one of my best sellers @ a craft fair.
Who knew I was smooshing? And I do love my stampin' spots! Thanks
for your reply!

Oooh, I love to smoosh. My favorite ink pads to use for this are the VersaMagic Multi-surpace chalk ink pads. Love it, love it, love it!

I used Oasis green, Pixie dust, and Sea breeze smooshed on white card stock then stamped over it in black with the bunny grouping from The Gifts of Spring set. It made really nice Easter cards last year without having to color in all the detials.

Smoosh away!

I haven't tried smooshing with chalk inkpads. Sounds neat. Your pro-
ject sounds like it turned really cute. Thanks for your reply.
