Small Plaid Template-need help

Does anyone still know how to use these templates? Do I use a Brayer over them?? If so what am I doing wrong because that did not work very well. I had to use a sponge by hand and keep padding it up and down the empty stripes.

When SU! had a sponge roller that is what I used and that snapped into the brayer instead of using the rubber brayer roller or a sponge. I still have my sponge roller even though it is no longer current, if you would like it just let me know and we'll work something out????

I have a sponge for the brayer but there is nothing wrong with having two! So lets work out a deal and thank you very much ! :-D
