silly candle question
I am going to bee stamping a candle at my next stamp camp and was wondering other than markers what is an ok medium to color in with on tissue paper? I'd be super greatful to anyone who knows!!

I have used chalks, but just know that they lighted a little when melted into the candle. I have also used colored pencils and wc pencils.

Agree with valentina and....
I almost always use Prismacolor pencils when I make candles. Another nice look, depending on the stamp, is just to use a kaliedacolor (spelling ?) pad. I use chalks too...they do get lighter on the candle so you can go a little heavier handed during the coloring process. Have fun...this is one of my favorite gifts to make.

Thanks so much for the help gals!! I can't wait to get started!!

i usually use wc pencils and chalks with a blender pen. i find also that using wax paper over the tissue gives me a more professional candle look.

Mostly all the candles I have made I use stamps that are 2-steps like the "Roses in Winter" or "Terrific Tullips". Also the Lighthouse stamps are beautiful just stamp with black ink. We did a candle once with "Flaky Friends" and used colored pencils but I still like the other ones better. Carol

Candle Question?
I've never stamped on candles b4 and I've been reading everyones advice, how long do you heat the image on the candle so you know when it is done?
 |
Michelle and Sandy,
I stamp my image on white tissue paper. Then I wrap it around the candle and wrap a piece of wax paper around the candle. I then heat it with my heat tool until you see it start to melt. That's it! ;) |
