To me, that looks like a regular stair step card that just has a matching piece stuck to the back of each piece that's stuck on. You'll find measurements for a stair step here in Resources if you need them.
Does anyone know how to convert metrics into standard? I tried using an online conversion but the folds were not right and therefore, the card wouldn't fold shut.
I did manage to manipulate one so that it does close, but I don't really like how it looks.
The backboards where you would embellish are smaller than the one in allmysketches picture.
You don't need to convert hers, you just need to figure out the pattern of the measurements and then use that for your inches. So, for example score across the middle of your letter sized sheet to give you two 5 1/2" sections. Figure out how wide you want your cut section to be - I'd mark this in pencil and cut the slits for that last as it will make things more stable to scoring to leave the piece whole. The top score line of the step bit needs to be half way down the top section (so 2 3/4" from the top of the sheet). Now divide the lower bit so you have a border across the bottom, one section of equal measurement above that and then divide what you have left into two equal parts (so you could have a border of 3/4", next section 3/4" and then divide the rest into two portions of 2" each for example). Just play around until the proportions please you - use scrap paper until you're happy with how it looks and then let loose with the cardstock!
Thanks...that's what I've already done. I'll just have to play with it some more until I'm happy with the sizes of the folds and making sure it closes properly.
