Default Mailing cards with embellishments

How difficult is it to mail the wonderful cards with embellishments? I guess I am asking how much bulk am I allowed before I need special mailers? Do beads and buttons need special mailers or am I safe to put them in a normal envelope?
Thanks!

Someone shared a tip with me about that. You know the little arm on the friskers cutter? If you can slide your card through that space (where the cutting blade runs back and forth), you are safe and it won't need extra postage. Meaning it will make it through the machine. Usually mine make it okay, but if it won't go through that space, I think it's an extra 12 cents.

If you mail a lot of stuff like this you can call the post office's Bulk Mail office. They have hard plastic templates that they send out for free that has the slot. I got mine a couple of years ago and it comes in really handy, because it also has envelope size templates printed on it so you can see if your envelope is going to be off-sized enough to need extra postage.

HTH,
Betsy

The maximum thickness is 1/4 inch. If it is over that, the cost is 12 cents extra. I would highly suggest getting the ruler from the Post Office. It is a very handy tool to have. Keeps those cards from getting sent back. HTH
