Securing Post-It Notes

I have made some altered post-it note holders using acrylic photo frames. I am having a problem with getting the post-it notes to stick. I took the back, brown sheet off and added more adhesive to it and it will not stay stuck tot he frame. How do you get them to stick? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I made a small tray from cardstock and stuck it to the frame with red sticky tape and then use double sided adhesive(ATG type) to stick the notes into the tray...I think it works ok...gave them away so not sure.

I made dozens of these at Christmas and had no problems, as long as I mounted the Post-it Notes to a square of coordinating cardstock first. I left the original back on each pad, just added lots of glue with my double stick tape runner. Red tape would work great too, just didn't have any.

Here's a smaller one I posted to my gallery: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=161374

Actually, that's a calendar, but the concept is the same...I interchanged mini calendars and Post-it Notes.

Kathy

I use velcro, heavy duty sticky type, not the sew on, that way they can just put a new piece of velcro on a new post it pad when they need to change it out. It holds very securely.

my post it note came apart in the middle of the pages!!!
So I split the stack and then it fell off numerous times. I have the backing stuck with the ATG glue gun. I think the post it notes are bad. Not enough glue.
Has anyone made a flap on it to hold it?

I'm making some of these right now. I'm putting the post-it notes right on the acrylic frame and they continue to fall off. Any suggestions?

I had better luck adhering the post-it note to cardstock first (see post #3 above) rather than to the acrylic frame itself. For whatever reason, the cardstock seems to stick better to the acrylic than the post-it note backing.

Kat

Kat,
Thanks for the advise! What size of cardstock did you adhere to the frame?
This board is fantastic when you are feeling frustration :)

I just matted the post-in note as I would any other sentiment. Usually a 1/8 to 1/4" border all around. Often I would double mount it in coordinating colors. Not only does it adhere better to the acrylic frame, but it offsets - or frames - the post-it note nicely. Did you see the photo I linked above? That may help.

Here are a few more I did for Christmas:

Christmas post-it note #1
Christmas post-it note #2
Christmas Post-it Note #3

Gee, I just stuck the stack to my frame and two years later, they are still stuck. I did you the brand name, Post-It Notes, not the generic brand.
