Scrapbooking on Canvas

Aloha! I am attempting to scrap on canvas and have perused this site looking at examples and getting hints from various threads. I do still have a few questions so if anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

I've painted my canvas and have my layout figured out. I'm kind of stumped as to what I should do next. I'm not sure that I like the look of the paper being modpodged so what I'm thinking of doing is to use the red double sided tape to stick everything down and then spray with an acrylic sealer. Do you think is sufficient? Do I have to use modge podge? I'm giving this canvas as a gift and the recipient will be putting her own picture on the canvas. I don't know if that makes a difference but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Mahalo!

Sounds fun! I have often thought of doing this myself and found good advice here. About 9 posts down, a girl--Jeannine-- gives some great links to follow.

The one thing I gleaned from my reading is to use 'GREAT' glue. I don't know if red sticky tape would withstand gravity's pull....Alot of info points to using E6000, which is an industrial strength craft glue.

Check it out and be sure to post your results!
