Scrapbook in a box Template

There have been a few requests for this template. Be warned, this is not a project for the faint of heart. Note also that it is in excess of 14 pages long and prints on 8.5 x 14 paper.

Thank you so much for this template....
I'll pump up my heart and give it a go!!!
It is a wonderful 'very special' gift. Of which I have to make for a Grandchild and perhaps for my Mom's 85th Birthday.
It is beautiful Wenchie.

RAWS 09-11-2007 07:57 AM

Oh my gosh! You are too much. The directions are great. What a great gift this would be (If you could bear to part with it after it's done.). Thanks.

Change to template

**** NOTE CHANGES TO THE TEMPLATE ***

My apologies ladies . . . I was working through the template myself this morning and found a couple of errors.

If you hold off, I'll be able to upload a proper one later this evening. In particular, the changes are to Section 1 of the smallest panel and the box lid.

I don't know how to edit my original post or I'd put this notice up there.

If a moderator is reading this, would it be possible to copy this note up? The changes are quite significant and would result in unwanted waste and 2 grossly oversized pieces.

I just don't want people to actually start working on this with the errors.

Thanks and I apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused.

wenchie 09-11-2007 01:44 PM

Here's the amended template. Sorry folks. :)

missyterry 09-11-2007 02:50 PM

Will send a pic when have done one.
Again thank you.

First of all, huge thank you to Beate for responding so quickly to my request to remove the original attachments. This will help avoid a lot of confusion over multiple versions. The template has undergone a few small but significant changes since I initially posted it. I believe it is now in its final form. Enjoy!

That's called one of three things, Exploding Box or Surprise Box or Photo Cube.

Sorry, not the same and a whole lot less work. :) :)

I've had a number of requests for assembly photos. Thankfully I had the presence of mind to take a few pictures when I did this project the first time.

Hopefully they will be enough to help you get this box put together properly.

khara 10-03-2007 06:10 AM

Wenchie,

I'm new to all of this. How do I open the template for the scapebook in a box.

I have been scrappin' and making cards for awhile but I'm new to this environment - in fact - I think this is probably the first thing I have ever posted.

I would greatly appreciate your help on how to get to the template.:D

Thanks

Just click on the attached file name above and your computer will prompt you to either Open it or Save it. It's a pdf file, so you will need the Adobe Acrobat reader, which is free from their website if you don't already have it. ;)

Scrappy Kathy 10-08-2007 02:42 PM

Awesome, can't wait to try it. tfs

scrappy knitter 10-08-2007 02:57 PM

Wow, your instructions are very well done and clear. Unfortunately, I can't read the measurements/dimensions on the lid (the rest is great though). I was hoping you could help me out? TIA! (and thanks for sharing!)
