How do you use a corner rounder to make a scalloped edge? :confused:

I've only seen it done w/SU corner punch. A border piece of the punch snaps off allowing the punch to be used on any edge of the paper. I don't think any other punches have that option.

I can't speak for any other brand of corner round, but using the Stampin' Up! 3/16'' corner rounder,it has a gaurd on the bottom that comes off so you can slid your paper in all the way. Then with the bottom facing up so you can see where your paper is placed, you can line each punch up as you go. Hope this helps!:)

I don't have it but we used the technique at a party. You remove the "guard" to make the scallops. One at a time, side by side while looking through the hole of the punch.

I've tried this with a border punch I bought @ AC Moore, and it's too big. I only get 4-5 scallops, which doesn't look as good as the examples I've seen.

Ordering the smaller one through my SU demo lady today, which I should have done in the first place!

You can do this with any of the EK Success corner rounder punches. Just pop off the triangle shaped guide and then punch away. It takes some playing around to get the technique just right. I practiced on a bunch of old scraps until I perfected it.

How well does the EK corner punch cut? Do you have to press hard to go through SU cardstock?

You don't have to press hard at all. I just bought the EK success one today and it worked great. I have the CM corner rounder and didn't think I needed another until my last stamp group and we used the SU one (which is made by EK success) and loved it. I have also used my slit punch but liked the corner rounder better. I got mine at Wally World for under $4.
