Question Drunken Chalks

I am in the process of doing drunk chalks. . . however, there isn't direction on when to apply the matte sealer. I am assuming wait until it's dry- but for some reason I need verifaction.

Can someone please verify?

Thanks!

For the cards I did using this technique, I stamped on the chalk background and used my Stampin' Write markers to color in the stamp (the snowmen from Flaky Friends). After I finished all that, I put on my matte sealer. It was a bit tricky doing the coloring, because the metallic ink never dried (even using the heat tool), but I managed to get it done without messing up too much. HTH
