Rock & Roll

THis must be an easy technique because I don't see the instructions anywhere, but what is and how exactly do you do the rock & roll technique?? I'm not getting it...

I tried this technique after reading about it... and it is really fun! You ink a stamp (not a line stamp, you want a solid image), then ink again in a different color - but just on the edges (sorta rockin the edge) or - easier for me, I rolled the edge with a marker in the color I wanted. Try it and have fun!

Just to add a little more.....if you're using ink pads (vs. the marker idea that Patti mentioned), make sure the first color you use is a light color so you don't stain your ink pads. So ink it up with a light color, then roll the edges in a darker color. It's a really fun technique that always gets WOWs from my customers!! :)

If you have the carved and candlit set, try using the short pumpkin stamp, using Pumpkin pie ink, ink the stamp as you normally would. Then using Really Rust ink, just roll the edges on the really rust pad. Stamp and Voila! Georgous! Hope this helps. (Or, go to the new SU demonstrator training DVD-there is a demonstration for this technique...) ~Lois
