Default HTH! But I don't really know if it will...

You can use the slit punch to scallop the edge of a piece of paper. However, if you have already cut your panel and want the scalloped edge on it then it is better to use a corner rounder.

To use the slit:

Place paper in punch and punch. Remove. Line up the left edge of the slot which will actually punch with the right edge cut by the last punch. Punch and repeat until you have the desired length. The flat edge of your paper that feeds into the slit punch (is closest to you as you punch) will remain flat. The opposite edge will be scalloped at the uniform width of the punch. This is why the corner rounder is better if you'd like a panel of a different size.

Clear as mud? Sorry - I tried!

Default Scallop edge using slit punch???help?

I just tried it for the first time and here's what I did...

I cut a strip of my cardstock to be twice the width of the punch.
I put the punch in at the right edge of the cardstock strip and with the bottom of the punch facing me, I pushed the punch all the way into the cardstock and punched it. Then moved it to the left just enough to see the edge of the last punch in the right corner of the slit punch and punched again... continue down the strip of cardstock. When you have the desired length of scallops you need cut it off.

I was at a booth demo and they recommended starting at the center of the piece and working out to both sides. They were using EK Corner Adorners for some really elegant edges.
