Default Making 1st bday invitations?

HI There, I'm new to the site. I was wondering if anyone has made 1st birthday invitations before? I would like to do this but I really need some inspiration. We were thinking of having a pink theme or a daisy theme, will depend on the invitation. Thanks in advance for your help!

I bought some pre-embossed white baby footprint paper at the stampstore. The owner has a cutting thingy that cut all the paper for me in large rounded corners. I then folded two opposite side together. Then over the top of that the two sides that came together I punched opposing holes in and ran a pretty blue ribbon through it. On the inside I just put all the info needed on a separate little paper and whala! The whole card after folded was 4x4 or so. Really cute and fast.

Default Pape Bag Invitations

I've made invitations using a small lunch bag. Imagine if you will, the paper bag album except use one bag per invitation. I folded it in half, bound it with ribbon, and covered it with scrapbook paper; on the front, I put info of the event (1st birthday) and on the inside the other details like location, when and with whom to rsvp. In the "pocket", I put the driving directions. HTH

For my daughter's 1st birthday (party is next saturday) we are laving a ladybug theme. I just made 40 invites that look like ladybugs. The wings open to the invite info on the "body" of the bug. I used the CM cutting system to make the body and wings. Basically one circle in red(with black stamped polka dots) and one in black of the same size and then a smaller on for the head. The wings were attached with brads so they could be opened. I have been receiving calls all week about them.
I also just finished 60 favor boxes w/matching nuggets for adults), 12 favors for kids which include crayons (with a new "ladybug" box and matching crayon wrappers, bubbles (also altered w/matching ladybugs) pencils (again altered), stickers and a flower pencil sharpener. I stamped red napkins with a ladybug in just one corner (with stazon), and I know I'm forgetting something.

I will tell you that I've about had it with red cardstock with black polka dots, lol. But the party is going to be adorable. I'll post some pics of everything once I get it all done. I'm on the home stretch now!
