Re-inker technique

Can you please give me some detailed techniques for using re-inker's. I have a ton of them and don't know what to do with them.

Thanks,

Lisa

Go to the resources page for the instructions. I love to do the shaving cream background and the acetate and tissue techniques.

They can also be used to make coordinating ribbon for a project. Add a few drops to some water, stir. Cut a length of white ribbon, wet it first, then add to the dye and let soak til you get the depth of color you want. Let dry or iron to dry faster. Add more ink to water for deeper colors. Now you don't need to buy whole spools of different colors!

The baby wipe technique is one of my favorites!!! Drop a few drops of ink on a baby wipe and you have your own custom colored ink pad!!!

I have a ribbon coloring tutorial at my blog... I use a zip loc bag to keep the mess to a minimum... remember to heat set!

I love to watercolor with mine. Just put a drop on a non-porus surface and use your waterbrush or regular paintbrush. A little goes a long way.
I like to paint on regular cardstock that I have sprayed with krylon mat sealer.
The colors really blend.

You can also mix your reinker with crystal effect.

Stamp your image on a piece of acetate with stazon (or emboss carefully in black)and then color it in with your crystal effect/reinker mixture for a stained glass look.

Buy an uninked spectrum pad from SU and make your own custom coloured spectrum pad!

Another thing to do with crystal effects and a reinker is to "paint" your Hodgepodge Hardware. You can choose colors to match your card or project!

Are there any techniques using CRAFT or pigment re-inkers? Most of mine aren't the water-based dye ink. Thanks!
