Default Clear embossing question

Ok-

How the heck do you guys get the clear embossed look stamped over an "ink" stamp? I don't get it. Do you first stamp the stamp in a color, then let dry and then stamp over it with versamark and then clear emboss..please help/clarify because I want to try this, but I am clueless. Thanks

If you stamp with SU! craft ink you pour the clear embossing powder on top of it and it works great! You can have any color you want

for a not quite as vivid image, but the ability to clear emboss in all of SU's colors, you can ink your stamp up very wet in versamark, then tap it lightly on your ink pad, then stamp on your paper and clear emboss. You will not ruin your classic pads with the versamark. Like I said the color is not *quite* as vivid, but works pretty well. You can also use a stamp a ma jig to stamp first in your color then in versamark, then emboss it. Hope this helps. I do love craft ink for embossing in color though! You could always get the stampin' spots in craft to try embossing with the colors.
