Question about rolled marble background?

I want to do this with two colors. Do I need to do two seperate boxes?

I was going to do this in some empty stamp boxes and reinkers. I tried a search for this technique and couldn't find anything. If you have a link to a thread that explains this technique, please post it.

Thanks!

I just watched this demoed yesterday on Smart Solutions....maybe HGTV will have the technique on their website. As, I watched in awe, just didn't pay attention!! They also demoed the shaving cream technique. HTH

Lisa, I went to view the page but it says that I don't have access. I am logged in and am DD member so am wondering if it is just down for a short time?

Marbled Background

Hi, I'm very new to Splitcoaststampers, but having a ball! My Stampin' Up demonstrator showed us how to do this technique. You put in as many colors and as many marbles as you want to do this background. Have fun. :)

Sorry, but didn't read your question completely before I responded. Everything goes into one box.

not sure why it won't let you open that page - but here are the directions:

BTW - I use 2 separate boxes - 1 for each color - HTH

These are direction's I received from Gayle Miller

"Wacky Marble" technique

SUPPLIES:
~ medium size stamp storage boxes
~ Classic Reinkers
~ Small floral marbles (I got mine at Michaels)
~ 1/4 sheet card stock

You take a piece of rolled masking tape and stick it to the inside lid of the box.
Place your card front on that

-Next place 6 drops of reinker in a puddle in the bottom of the box.
- place your marbles (well not yours but, you know what I mean. LOL) Place THE marbles in the bottom of the box and snap the lid shut tightly
- roll marbles into the puddle until well coated
-then flip the box upside down and roll the inked marbles onto your card front. (the remaining ink does not drip)
ONLY use one color at a time to prevent muddy colors. I use a different box when using two colors just so I don't have to keep washing it out.
You will get 14-16 card fronts from the 6 drops.

Thanks for the replies! I am going to do this at my Stamp Camp this weekend.

I'm doing two colors and have plenty of boxes so I think I'll use two boxes.
