Default Sour Cream Container HELP!

A friend and I spent a couple of hours the other night making Halloween sour cream container candy holders (whew, that's a mouthful!). The next morning when I woke up all the containers had popped open. I was so distraught I ate all the candy that had filled the containers. I used Mono-Adhesive to hold them together, can anyone suggest an alternative as I have now developed a real aversion to candy corn!

Alas one of the pitfalls of mono, I don't really think it was made to hold more than paper.BUT our new redline tape is the stuff. Also if you have crystal effects, it will seal anything.

I can get sour cream containers to stay closed using mono by:

1) after you've stamped the card stock and cut it to size, you want to "train" the card stock to do what you want it to do. The way to do that is put the card stock flat on the table with just enough hanging over the edge to hold on to. Place one hand flat on the card stock at the edge of the table and with the other hand, pull the card stock downward - letting it slide under your hand that's on the table. Not sure if that gives you a clear picture but essentially it's the same as using the scissors to curl ribbon.

2) after you've closed the ends of the tube - crimp them a 1/4" or so.
