I've tried this technique twice. Both times I used glossy paper. One time I tried it with dye ink and the other time with staz on. Both times, when I started coloring with my crayon, the ink smeared.
Can you give me suggestions as to what I should be doing that I'm not. Thank you

When I do this technique I usually do more that one sheet at a time. I stamp one with the (classic) black ink and set it aside to dry. By the time I am done with the fourth or so the first one is dry. I always gently touch one of the images near the edge to check for dryness. You may be able to heat set the ink if you are only doing one page or work on another part of the card for a few minutes. I have generally not had smearing problems doing it this way.

Not sure why that would happen...........I've only used Crayola brand crayons and have never had a smearing problem at all. It's the only kind I have bought for my kids to use, so I generally steal their white ones!!I'm not sure about all crayons, but in general, I find the other brands don't color as well or have as nice a feel as Crayola, even my kids notice the difference.
