Default Party Card Demo at Convention

I did not see this card demoed by Pam at convention but I have been trying to follow the instructions on the Stampin' Up Site ( Special Events - Convention - Samples) and it just is not turning out. She used the Just Beakause and Island Wheel. She used the wheel in one color then changed the color cartridge and rolled over it once again after moving it just a little. My problem is that I just can't line the design up any where near the original impression. Mine just looks like I made a blunder. How did she line up her wheel for the second color. It made it look like a slight shadow of white over the original color.
I would love to demo this to my customers as it is an interesting technique but need some help.

I don't know if this is the answer to your question, but at the last stamp camp I attended my demo (now my upline...yeah) mentioned that the wheels have a noticeable seam on them. Perhaps you have to roll your first line making note of the position of where you have the seam (i.e. down against the paper, straight up at 12:00 PM, etc.), then maybe your second line shift over slightly but keep the seam in the same position?

Let me know if this was the trick!

Default convention wheel technique

Using the seam of the wheel rubber is definitely the secret, but another thing to consider is to make sure you assemble the wheel the same way between ink colors (ie. I made sure the side with the name sticker was facing left both times I assembled the wheel). After I figured that one out I got it on the first try! HTH
