Default MINI ALBUM on DIY

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share this great template for a mini-album from Scrapbooking on DIY. Wasn't sure if it was already out there, but it is really well written and easy to follow. I hope you enjoy.

I agree, I haven't a clue as to where to find it. I have tried modifing it with a 12 X 12, with no luck. I only caught half of the demo, but what I did see of it, it was very cute. I am sure that you can special order the paper online. I am going to research this more, and when I do, I will let you know.

Thanks! tlangrell

I'm pretty sure this is the size of a lot of the sketch pads and large construction paper you can find in the art department at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

I have made this book and got my paper from Michaels.. In the fine art, where the paintbrushes, canvases etc are, there was contruction paper, drawing paper etc.. It was loose paper for about $2 a sheet.

Or you could get rolls of butcher paper and stamp it yourself. Plenty of options that I can think of.

My suggestion is to use artist paper, found at art supply stores or in the art supply section of Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc. Single sheets of Canson Papers (or other brands) usually run 1.35 to 3.00. Maybe more for some really nice papers. The sheets are usually 22x28 inches, which makes the 16.5 by 22 really easy to accomplish. If the paper is 22x33, as some is, you will get 2 per sheet! But you do need the weight/stiffness of Canson Mi-Tientes or something like it.

This way of making an album will work with any size paper...but you need to have each page square. With a 12 by 12 sheet you would cut to 9 by 12 and score 3x3 inches, where the directions show 5.5x5.5. For 4x4 pages your paper would be 12 by 16 inches. Am I making sense?

I have been playing around with this folding technique, and I think I will revise my statement...I think you could do this with rectangular pages as well. Try the 12 x 12 paper...scored into 3 rows by 4 rows, cut like in the instructions and fold as in the instructions. Your pages would be 3x4 inches.

Yep, I did it, and it works with any size pages for the little album. You need 3 rows by four rows to match these instructions.

Last post from me...

Here is JanTink's mini album...the attachment shows how to make this book with 4 rows of 4 pages instead of 3 rows of 4 pages.
