post it note cover
Appologies in advance if this topic has been discussed before - I'm new.
Are there instructions on how to do a sticky note cover? Is it just covered cardboard? What weight paper do you use so that it's still flexible but not going to wear out quickly? Thanks. |
I've always used the glossy cardstock, which looks great as a post-it cover. I've never used a template because you can "eyeball" it so easily:
Place your post-its on the cardstock & mark and cut a piece a little bit wider than the notes and about 2 1/2 times as long. Fold the top down over the post-its so it's about even with the bottom of the notes, then fold the bottom up over the post-its, leaving about 1/2" extra. Staple the bottom about 1/4" from the bottom (staple a piece of ribbon in if you're adding a bow); seat your post-its slightly above the staple, and slip the top into the bottom flap. |
Here's a thread from way back when . . . Marcia (suthnheart) attached instructions for some really spiffy post-it covers made with matboard!

Thanks!
All very helpful. It sure doesn't look hard, but it's hard to wrap my head around for some reason! Thanks again. |
I have a few instructions on my website how to make them from cardstock. They are at: http://stamponthis.com/SOT-ID1pccover.htm .
