masking tape w/dtp inking

I saw a beautiful card sample with the use of masking tape and direct
to paper inking. I didn't make any notes so I can't remember exactly how
to do it or even which stamp set was used. Please explain how to do it & maybe direct me to where I could see a sample of this unusual techni-
