Default Chipboard Coaster book

I have had a couple of people ask for the measurements to make the chipboard coaster book that I recently uploaded. So I tried my best to figure it out for you. Here goes:

You will need:
2 square chipboard coasters
3 sheets of cardstock (not too thick) cut into 8" x 8" squares
2 pieces of patterned/decorative scrapbook paper (to cover the coasters) 5" x 5"
ribbon 4 5-inch pieces
Stamps, inks, embellishments

Cover your coasters with the decorative paper. Make sure if it's patterned you put it on straight (I messed mine up with crooked lines!) Fold the scrapbook paper around, notch the corners so it lays nice and glue it on.

Glue 1 piece of ribbon to the center of each side of the covered coaster.

Take your 3 squares of cardstock. Score and fold each one in quarters. Unfold. Score and fold again from corner to corner then unfold and score and fold the opposite way corner to corner. Unfold. Your cardstock should now have folds in it to make 8 triangles.

Glue the top lefthand square of one piece of cardstock to the bottom right square of another piece of cardstock. You will have sheet 1 at the top left and sheet 2 at the bottom right. Take your 3rd sheet of cardstock and glue the top left square to the bottom right square of sheet 2. Now you should have shee 1 at the top left, sheet 2 in the middle, and sheet 3 at the bottom right.

Fold your booklet so that the sheet in the middle (2) has a peak pointing up and the other 2 sheets have a valley. You'll have to play with it to get it to fold up the right way...it's confusing. Once it's folded up you'll have a thick square.

Hold the book so the opening point is on the bottom right corner. Glue the coasters on the front and back of the book so that the ribbons are on the sides of the squares (so you can tie it shut later). Set it underneath a heavy book for a few minutes to make sure it's tight.
Stamp and decorate the inside and outside however you choose. Tie shut and you're done!
