Default Simple Birthday Thanks - Masking

I just got the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp for my birthday (yippee!!) and I would love to use the cupcake to make 1st birthday party invitations for my daughters birthday. Can anyone help me out?? I would like to stamp the cupcake without any of the words. I have not done any masking before, and since I will need to make about 30 invites, I was wondering the fastest way to do that. Thanks so much, Ladies! :p

The easiest way to do this is to put some sticky note or tape over the words, ink the stamp up and then remove the sticky note or tape before stamping. You can also color the image, and not the words, with markers (Not permanent like copics). That way you can have the base outline one color and the top, cherry and sprinkles other colors. Remember to blow on your image after inking with markers to re-wet the ink so that you get a good image.

I used an exacto knife (craft knife) and cut the words out before I put the stamp on the block. I left the paper covering on the word part so that if I wanted to stamp them too, I could just place it back in the hole where I cut it out. Does that make sense? I can take some pics if you'd like.

Thanks for the ideas, ladies!

Jem - I might try that...pictures would be great if it's not too much trouble!

That's what I was going to suggest, cutting the centre out. The idea of masking 30 invitations sounds like a lot of work.
