Default Lollipop sticks and Gamsol Technique

We made chocolate lollipops for Easter. As I was packing up the supplies to put away I began wondering about the lollipop sticks. They reminded me of the stumps used for the Gamsol technique. I sharpened one and guess what it works. They are quite thin but they are awesome for tight little spaces. I've needed something to serve this purpose and these fit the bill.

I initially sharpened them into a blunt point with my pencil sharpener and than fine tuned the point with sandpaper.

I should also point out that I do the alternative version of Gamsol using baby oil. But they should work for either product as they are just paper.

Great idea! Sometimes those stumps are hard to find.

Cool! A reason to break out my gamsol again. It's been a while. And... I always have leftover lollipop sticks. TFS!

I've used them in a pinch as well, but the blending stumps are much easier.

Smiles,

Love this idea! I'll bet it's great for tight places. I've used the stick part of a q-tip in a pinch, which is about the same thing I'll bet!

Thanks for the tip!
