Default Drunken chalks-HELP

I don't get it.
I am doing it exactly as directed. When I go to spray it with alcohol after I have applied the metalic ink, the metalic seems to run off.
I'm not getting a beautiful outcome at all.
Any pointers, I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

dur--
think I had a moment
Since the directions said spray until ink runs, I guess I took that too far, and was propping my cards up so the metalic ran alright, right off the CS.
So I just did one and sprayed, then layed it down to dry, cool.
But I know now why you have to seal it, the gold will rub right off.
Now that I won't waste any more cs, Im gonna go experiment more.

I've had the same problem - the metallic just runs off and pools on the edges when the cardstock bunches up. I haven't liked any of the samples I've done....

If you have a trick to this, please share!!

I stamp on acetate then spray then lay my glossy on top and rub. It's a subtler look and I get better results. You can always repeat the process if it's not enough, or DTP for a stronger finish.
