It's someone who buys stamps they didn't normally like at first, only to see it in Split Coast Stampers gallery in a different perspective.
I've used saran wrap and white lumiere - dab the saran wrap in the lumiere and pounce on your glossy CS until you get the coverage you want - set aside to dry then you can brayer over the lumiere with grey ink to give a little color.
thanks ladies for all the help. Can't wait to see the tuturial

May I suggest you go to the gallery and do a search using "Mother of Pearl"? I did this and not only found many very beautiful cards... using various colors... but also the directions for several of them.
Have fun, and please do show us what you come up with.
I tried the link that Linda provided but I wasn't allowed in that gallery. I also went to the galleries and typed in mother of pearl in the search and nothing came up. What am I doing wrong?
I'm so sorry about that link! I didn't realize it was a Dirty Dozen posting, so if you're not a member of the Fan Club you can't see it. Here's a couple of other links with instructions by the originator of the technique, JanTink:
I've been doing it wrong!! I was taught (not here obviously) to brayer the glossy cardstock first, then put lumiere on top. Gonna have to try it the other way and see how it looks.
