Pen Storage

Hope this is where I can post this but.....I have a big question!:(

How are you storing your pens? I know that they need to be vertical but I'm looking for an easy fix.

I'm sure that lots of you have the SU tote but I don't need to replace ALL my pens.

Any suggestions are truly welcome.

Thanks!

Well, I bought one of those plastic cases used for storing 12 x 12 paper. It's about an inch or so thick and has a handle. I put all my pens in there facing the same direction and then just store it beside all my other cabinets. I must a ton of pens in there. I know for sure I have all the Creative Memories ones and probably another dozen or so of other companies. I paid about $5 at Michael's for it.

Hope that helps.

Actually, the SU! Stampin' Write Markers should be stored horizontally (on their sides) for even distribution of ink to both tips.

I don't have the storage case, but I keep my markers in a pencil holder laying on it's side.

Hope this helps!

i store all my pens/markers/etc horizontally.
i had my dh cut PVC pipe into 4 inch sections. i have found the best width is 3-4 inches. then i stack them on they sides. you can also do this with vegetable cans. both very cheap. works great.

Pen Storage

I just located one of the Rubbermaid (or Eldon) Shelf Saver X-Cubes that I've seen in a lot of pictures of studios. Several of the big box office supply stores have them on their website but the cheapest place by far is Sam's Club website: $6.88 INCLUDING shipping. I like it because I can have all 4 color families of SU! markers in one container but separate. It actually sits on top of one of the 3-drawer cubes that someone else mentioned that holds misc. other long, narrow items, like my white gel pen, a pencil, craft knife, bone folder, blender pens, versamark pen, etc.

Hope this helps!

Pam,
Here's a great product I found and from what I gather you can save 25% off of it! Maybe this would be a good item for you?

I just made my own by turning 3 tall tins on their sides and hot-gluing them together in a pyramid. They are the tins that those pirouette "cookies" come in, and I got them for $0.05 or $0.10 each at a thrift store. I might decorate them later, but I'm just looking to quickly organize at the moment. If I have it, I'll use it. :)

CTMH now sells a plastic holder for pens. It's in the back of their catalog.

I store my markers in one of the big clear plastic stamp cases that stampin up has . The markers are laying flad so the ink is distrubuted evenly and you can see in it .I take them to my workshops in them also . They are easy to carry .
